The restoration of antique Taxidermy.
I have been collecting and restoring antique ( pre 1947 ) taxidermy for over 20 years, concentrating mainly on the restoration of big cat heads and skins such as tiger, lion, leopard etc.

I am a keen supporter of the world wildlife fund and all other organisations associated with the protection of our endangered wildlife, I am strongly against the deforestation going on in south america ie; the Rain Forests and animal poaching which still continues around the world.
I donate a percentage of my profit to the WWF from a number of my sales.
Tiger hunting was a way of life a couple of centuries ago, as populations increased and villages spread into Tiger terrority. Around 1900 there was estimated to be around 100,000 tigers in the wild, Hunting them became very fashionable as the British Empire spread, and was popular with the Indian nobility and high ranking british officers, even The Engish Royalty joined in with the sport..

Obviously tiger numbers declined very rapidly in the last century, and now there is only an estimated 3000 to 5000 left in the wild.

Hopefully my restoration of these big cat skins and heads will keep them in good order for future generations to admire, and also if an antique tiger skin can be purchased, it may even prevent another live tiger from being poached.

I undertake the restoration of trophy heads , skins, cased birds and mammals as well as sell taxidermy, I also sell fine antique jewellery, antique books and ephemera associated with taxidermy
I do hire out taxidermy items for t.v. & theatre props , please contact me for your needs.

I do have the occasional post 1947 taxidermy for sale, which comes with all legal documentation, ie, article 10, schedule 5, defra or cities paper work.
All my pre 1947 items come with a letter of provanance from the previous owner or an auction house receipt stating the approx date of the piece.

I work closely with DEFRA / NATURAL ENGLAND to obtain any licences required to export outside the European Union, Please email me to check if an item can be exported to you.
I am a member of the Guild of Taxidermy & The British Historical Taxidermy Society.
I totally support Defra / Cites & the WWF in their action against the illegal taking of wildlife.
I fully comply with the regulations covered by the wildlife and countryside act 1981.
I am fully compliant with cities and natural england / defra regulations.

Thank you for looking.
